Mark Barry has been announced as the new Social Democrats councillor in Wicklow.
At a selection convention Mark was co-opted to the council seat vacated earlier this year by Jodie Neary, who moved to a new role in the renewable energy sector.
Mark is the current manager of the Wicklow minor hurling team and also sits on the board of management of Greystones Community National School.
