A status yellow snow and ice warning is in place for Wicklow and surrounding counties this morning.
Up to five centimetres of snow is possible today across Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow, Meath and Monaghan.
The alert came into force yesterday evening, and will run until 6pm this evening.
