The visit to Wicklow by the leader of Sinn Féin Mary Lou McDonald has been described as very successful.
During her visit she met with a number of groups and organisations across the County and the day was finished with a public meeting in Wicklow Town.
Her tour of the county included a visit to the National Learning Network in Bray, Lakers Social & Recreational Club in their new temporary accommodation in the old St Andrews School, the Greystones Family Resource Centre, Wicklow Travellers Group and Shuttle knit in Wicklow Town
Deputy McDonald also met with Arklow Tidy Towns and members of the Arklow group campaigning to keep the North Beach open and with the General Secretary of Mandate trade union, John Douglas and shop stewards from across Wicklow.
Speaking after the visit Wicklow Sinn Féin TD John Brady said “We were delighted to welcome Mary Lou to the Garden County on Monday. It was a very successful visit and she met with many groups across the County.
