The Minister for Health Wicklow T.D. Simon Harris is coming under pressure to resume the clinical audit of CervicalCheck that he stopped in May 2018.
People Before Profit TD Brid Smith says because of the pause in the audit, over 500 women are unable to have an independent review of their CervicalCheck history.
Deputy Smith has also called on Minister Harris to release the statistics on the breakdown of the misread CervicalCheck slides.
She says she has been asking for the information for the last 16 months and that it is the only way to guarantee best practice in regards to the monitoring and quality assurance of the screening process.
Deputy Smith says one young woman she knows had to fundraise thousands of Euro to get answers about her eventual diagnosis
