The Health Minister Wicklow T.D. Simon Harris says whoever succeeds him in office must continue the Sláintecare reforms to the health service.
Speaking in the Dáil last night, Simon Harris says there's no way it can go back to "business as usual" after Covid-19.
He said the need to provide healthcare at community level, outside of hospitals, is now more important than ever to help deal with the pandemic.
Minister Harris says it's one area where the political consensus is very clear.
