A popular takeaway is preparing for a final weekend of trading in Wicklow.
Sammy the Seal’s will close the hatch on its van for the final time on Sunday.
It's based on the South Quay in Wicklow town, and started trading on St Patrick’s Day last year.
Alan Hegarty and his team are offering a heartfelt thank you to all their customers on Facebook:
“We’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us from our regulars to those who popped by for the first time. Your kindness, loyalty, and encouragement have meant the world to us. It’s with real regret that we’re closing our doors for now, but this isn’t goodbye forever. Our hope is to be back next year, refreshed and ready to serve you all again. Until then, we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible before our final day and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support and custom.”
The takeaway van will operate over the weekend as follows:
- Friday Sept 19th 5-9pm
- Saturday Sept 20th 4-9pm
- Sunday Sept 21st 2-7pm
Don't miss the chance to wave them off - with a bag of fish and chips of course! (Don't skimp on the salt and vinegar Alan, Okay? Thanks)
