Road users in Wicklow are being warned to take extra care on the roads this morning after overnight freezing temperatures which has brought icy conditions to most places with snow in high ground.
Secondary routes are untreated and are treacherous in places.
Wicklow County Council has advised that the Sally Gap has been closed due to heavy snow in the area.
Met Eireann’s Joan Blackburn says parts of Leinster were the worst affected areas and more is expected today.
