Simon Harris has received an update on his campaign to improve safety at Lacken National School.
Wicklow Fine Gael Minister Simon Harris TD has received an update on his ongoing campaign to improve safety for pupils and staff at Lacken National School.
Minister Harris said:
“Before the summer holidays I visited Lacken National School where I saw first-hand the need for a new safe footpath and drop off point for pupils, parents and staff at the school. The Baltinglass municipal district council has now met with the school and local community leaders to draft a plan that will include a new safe footpath, reconfigured drop off facilities and a new carpark in the back field of the school. This is progress and I look forward to a traffic management plan being put in place for the school. I am also supporting the school in applying for funding from the Department of Education for a carpark to the rear of the school”
