Home owners in Wicklow are among almost a million throughout the country who will have to pay a higher property tax next year.
Councillors have the power to vote on whether to increase or decrease the Base tax rate by up to 15 per cent.
19 out of 31 local authorities have increased their rates for 2020.
However despite having the highest valued property in the country, Dublin is the only county where property owners will see a reduction, with 3 of the 4 councils reducing the tax by the full 15 per cent, and Fingal reducing it by 10 per cent.
Ten counties raised their property tax by the maximum 15%, while Wicklow along with four other counties including Wexford, Increased their base rate by 10%
