A row has erupted after it emerged that a number of public representatives were not invited to attend the opening of a new Primary Care Centre in Rathdrum earlier this week.
The new facility was officially opened by the Health Minister Wicklow TD Stephen Donnelly last Tuesday.
But the Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council Fine Gael Councillor Shay Cullen, the Cathaoirleach of Arklow Municipal district, Miriam Murphy, Independent councillor Pier Leonard, along with the two opposition T.D.s in the county, Sinn Fein's John Brady and Social Democrats Jennifer Whitmore were not issued with an invite.
The HSE has apologised for what they've described as an administrative error, but speaking to East Coast FM's Morning Show, Councillor Leonard said this isn't the first time this has happened and she doesn't believe it was an error.
