Restrictions Ease Further Today As Vaccine Programme Roll-Out Continues

A major relaxation of Covid restrictions gets underway today for the first time this year, with 12 thousand businesses expected to reopen this week.

Inter-county travel is allowed while  Hairdressers and Barbers can resume business, while  galleries, museums and libraries are also back open.
On Friday, 50 thousand Covid-19 vaccines were administered here - the largest in a single day.

Non-essential retail can resume click and collect or bring customers back into stores by appointment only.

Religious services are allowed from today but with restriction in place on the numbers allowed to attend.

Bus Eireann says capacity on public transport is increasing to 50 per cent from today.
