Irish Water is advising residents in parts of Wicklow to conserve supplies over the next week, as crews work with the county council to carry out essential works at the Vartry water treatment plant.
The works involve the installation of pipe work that will facilitate the connection of the new plant to the existing water distribution network.
Properties in Newtownmountkennedy, Ashford, Bray and Greystones may experience disruption to their supply, while these works are underway.
The construction of the new water treatment plant is part of an investment of over €150 million in the North Wicklow and South Dublin area, with the project due for completion later this year.
