The number of times Ireland looked for help from other countries in solving crimes increased by nearly 27 per cent last year.
Foreign police forces were asked for assistance 815 times in 2020, compared to 643 the previous year.
Gardai looked for help from the US 264 times - with 85 relating to child pornography.
