Dublin Port Company says it will hit capacity within 20 years.
A new report by the company shows it would cost more than 8 billion euro to relocate the facility.
It's invited submissions on alternative views on plans to develop two new seaports on the east coast, but it says proposals for new ports in Wicklow and North County Dublin would cost too much and could have issues in getting planning permission.

The GeoDirectory Commercial Buildings Report for Q4 2025 examined a sample of 80 towns across Ireland, and 22 postal districts in Dublin. Arklow had the highest commercial vacancy rate in December 2025 while Greystones had the lowest.
