75 million euro has been allocated to regenerate buildings in rural Ireland into remote working hubs, but most counties in Leinster won’t receive a cent from the funding.
24 projects have been selected, with most of the funding going toward projects either in or near the Minister for Rural Development's constituency of Cavan - Monaghan.
Over 21 million has been allocated to three projects in Donegal, while over 9 million has been provided for one project in Mayo. More than 6.5 million is going toward one project in Longford, with five Million provided for two projects in Monaghan and just under five million for two projects in Leitrim.
Minister Heather Humphreys says the funding from the Rural Redevelopment fund will help people who want to move back to the countryside to work:
