After a long campaign, management at the Purple House Cancer Support Centre in Bray have begun their move to new, permanent premises at Duncairn Terrace.
The group had been actively fundraising to secure a new space which they say was achievable, following a commitment from Minister for Health Wicklow TD Simon Harris to provide additional capital grant funding, to help with the costs for the new premises.
The centre is due to open fully to Cancer patients and their families later in the summer.
After 30 years in operation, Purple House had found its existing premises at Aubrey Court on Parnell Road, was no longer fit for purpose.
