A spate of wildfires impacted the county this week amid unusually high temperatures.
Gardai and Wickow County Council are urging the public to stay away from Bray Head to allow the fire service room to work in safety.
Crews are expected to remain on site this evening carrying out dampening operations. While the blaze has been controlled, the area affected continues to smoulder and could reignite.

"Following the large fire on Bray Head yesterday, some areas continue to smoulder and reignite. The fire crew from Bray are attending. The fire is under control and may continue to smoulder while damping down operations continue. The public are advised to avoid the area and not put themselves in danger." WICKLOW COUNTY COUNCIL
