The number of journeys taken on public transport is over 50 percent less than before the Covid-19 crisis.
According to new CSO figures, the pace of recovery for cars and HGVs to pre Covid levels continues to outstrip public transport passenger numbers.
Traffic volumes for the week commencing the 30th August were 15.7 percent lower in regional locations and 18.9 percent lower in Dublin than the same week in 2019.
