Capacity on public transport returns to 100 percent from today.
It's the first time full capacity will be restored on buses, trains and trams since the start of the pandemic.
The change applies to all operators and comes ahead of the phased return to offices from September 20th.
The wearing of face masks remains mandatory.
CEO of the National Transport Authority, Anne Graham, says passenger safety remains a priority.
She says they are continuing with daily cleaning regimes across fleets and they are looking to improve ventilation onboard.
