Pedestrians and motorists have been advised to exercise caution and avoid certain areas of both towns following heavy flooding in recent days.
The high tide has caused heavy flooding on the South Quays in Wicklow Town and Arklow, as well as other areas.
Gardaí are asking the public to avoid these areas if at all possible and to watch out for signage that indicate flooded areas.
Arklow Municipal District took to social media to write “Arklow Municipal District is dealing with several reports of flooding throughout the District. Crews are attending and carrying out necessary actions.
“We would ask members of the public to obey signage and avoid affected areas.”
In Wicklow Town, Gardaí are encouraging the public to avoid the South Quay area and use alternative routes until the water level lowers.
