The Department of Education spent over 97 million euro on the salaries of teachers in private schools last year.
Nearly 26,000 students attended the 52 schools during the 2019-2020 academic year.
The highest amount was paid to teachers in St Andrew's College in Dublin, at over 3.9 million euro.

The GeoDirectory Commercial Buildings Report for Q4 2025 examined a sample of 80 towns across Ireland, and 22 postal districts in Dublin. Arklow had the highest commercial vacancy rate in December 2025 while Greystones had the lowest.
