The post office in Roundwood is to reopen next week under new management following the retirement of the existing post master last month.
There had been fears of closure but An Post have clarified that will not be the case.
The closure of postal services in the village would have resulted in residents and businesses in the area having to travel to either Rathdrum or Bray.
Post offices in Laragh and Kilmacanogue ceased operations in 2017 while the post office in Donard closed its doors on New Year Eve in 2018.
