Malaysian officials say that Nora Quoirin died three days ago from internal bleeding due to intestinal damage, believed to have been caused by prolonged hunger and stress.
The body of the 15 year old, who had special needs - was found on Tuesday ten days after Nora disappeared from the resort where she was staying with her family. Officials in Malaysia say there were no signs of foul play found during the post mortem.
