Wicklow County Council have agreed to help fund the Swim Ireland Pop-Up Pool.
They are currently working on a planning permission application with Swim Ireland and a local architect and should have this submitted by the end of the month.
The new amenity is very much needed in the area and local activist Dierdre Mc Cormack welcomes the news.
