There’s some positive news for the Newtownmountkennedy/Kilcoole Educate Together National School.
The school, which only opened in August of 2019 with two modular building classrooms and an administration block, is set to expand.
Another two classrooms are being provided to cater for infant classes from September of next year.
Chairperson of the school committee Anne Gregory and Principal Doctor Nicola Martin say they are actively engaged in talks with the Department of Education to secure a permanent site for a new 8 classroom School, which they say are at an advanced stage.
