A decision on whether to grant planning permission for temporary accommodation for Greystones Community College will be made by the end of the month.
The Department of Education submitted an application to Wicklow County Council in January to provide 16 classrooms for students on the grounds of the Eire Og GAA Club.
A design team is now in place to deal with the planning application for the permanent school building, as acquisition work continues on the site near the Shoreline Leisure Centre in Charlesland.
