Wicklow County Council have refused a planning application for a new outdoor food court at the base of the Sugar Loaf.
The application sought permission to develop three hot and beverage trailers, along with toilets and a children's play area with picnic benches and picnic pods on an unused site in Calary Upper, Kilmacanogue.
Planning was refused to preserve the amenities, character and scenic value of the rural area.
An appeal against the decision can be made to An Bord Pleanala.
