The project can now move immediately to the tender stage and construction can commence in 2025.
Funding for the project has been included in the 2025 Health Capital Plan to be published shortly
The centre will include:
• A large-scale GP practice with five consultation rooms
• Two primary care teams comprising doctors, nurses, home helps, health and social care professionals, and healthcare assistants
• Dental services
• Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
• Adult Mental Health Services
• National Counselling Service
• Older persons day services
• Disability services
• Future expansion for a second GP practice and diagnostics
With planning approval secured, Outgoing Health Minister Wicklow TD Stephen Donnelly expects the tender process for construction wil begin immediately, with construction commencing in the second half of the year.
The centre is due to open its doors to patients in 2026.
