The volume of rubbish dumped illegally in Lucan, Palmerstown and Fonthill has jumped by a third.
South Dublin County Council figures show the increase in March and April, compared with 2019.
While the council has also seen the level of rubbish put in public bins drop by 13 per cent in the same period.
Councillor Shane Moynihan, who requested the figures, says it's noticeable when walking around the area:
