Over 80's In Nursing Homes To Receive Covid Booster Shots From Next Week

Covid booster shots will be rolled out for nursing homes and over 80's from next week.

The first boosters are being given this week to people who are immuno-compromised.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says that's likely to be extended in the coming weeks and months. 

Meanwhile around 44  of the 66 Covid patients in ICUs are unvaccinated, according to the Intensive Care Society.
The number of patients in hospital with the virus dropped to 291 last night - after rising above 300 over the weekend.
