Over 65's and the immunocompromised are to be offered another COVID-19 vaccine. This news comes after the National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) issued new advice that people in those cohorts should receive a second booster jab. Health Minister Stephen Donnelly announced this morning that everyone over the age of 65 will be offered a second mRNA booster, meaning that they will have had a total of four doses. People over the age of 12 who are immunocompromised will also be offered the second booster, making it a total of five.
