Organ Transplant Operations Down Substantially In 2020

The number of organ transplants has decreased by almost a third this year.

The Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says only 156 were carried out in the first ten months of this year, compared to 233 in the same period in 2019.
Kidney, liver, heart and lung transplants have all fallen this year.
