Green Party TD – Steven Matthews has welcomed the confirmation from the Minister for Justice that a formal request has been made to the Office of Public Works to carry our remedial work, minor repairs, and clean-up of the façade of Wicklow Town Courthouse.
The submission includes requests to carry out works including painting, weeding and general repairs to the façade of the building and have also looked for the cost of maintaining the upkeep toavoid it falling back into a state of disrepair.
There are proposals with regards to fully refurbishing the Courthouse building but this relies on funding from the National Development Plan (2021-2030) that is not yet in place.
