The trial of a new one way system for Wicklow town, due to come in to force at the beginning of September, is already facing opposition from a number of residents in the town.
Overall the plan has been given approval by the Municipal District Councillors.
While he admits there may be issues that arise which will have to be addressed , Councillor John Snell says he just wants people of the town to give the trial a chance.
Ceatharlach of Wicklow Municipal District Gail Dunne says this is a trail period and people will be allowed to have their say on whether they think it works or not.
