12 Homeless Beds In Bray To Close

The news comes in the same week a funeral was held for a homeless man who was discovered at Ravenswell in the town.

It is understood the man was originally from Poland, but had been living around the Bray area for a number of years.

Gardai confirmed they are investigating the incident but his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The 12 emergency winter beds opened before Christmas and since then there has been a 25% increase in Wicklow of people living in emergency accommodation.

Sinn Fein TD in Wicklow John Brady has called on the Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy to address the situation as a matter of urgency.
