A number of community groups and schools in Wicklow are celebrating their achievements following the 10th Annual PURE Mile Awards which took place earlier this week.
Since its launch in September 2006, over 3,300 tonnes of waste has been removed from the landscape around in County Wicklow.Over 80 community groups in the county including primary schools and cycling groups have adopted stretches of road with a commitment to keep it tidy and litter free.
