The National Transport Authority is looking to buy new information displays at bus stops that would show how much capacity there is on-board.
The RTPI's would also include the availability of wheelchair spaces and whether the vehicle has low floor access.
The NTA says most displays will be needed at stops but others could be located elsewhere such as at libraries or office receptions, showing arrivals at a nearby stop or a number of stops.
