The jury in the trial of a 34-year-old man accused of the murder of 50 year old Bobby Messett at Bray boxing club 3 years ago was told yesterday that nine shots were fired in several directions during the early morning attack.
Gerard Cervi from the East Wall area in Dublin 3, is charged with murdering Mr Messett at the Boxing Club on 5 June, 2018. He has also been charged with the attempted murder of boxing trainer Pete Taylor and Ian Britton. According to the Irish Times the Court heard Bobby Messett and Ian Britton were among eleven people taking part in an exercise class being given by Pete Taylor when the shooting occurred..The accused has pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
