Wicklow Minister Simon Harris has visited St Patrick's National School in Greystones to view the 2 new special educational classrooms and other additional classes which he had worked with the school to secure for the community.
Speaking today, Minister Harris said, "As the new school year is about to commence, I am so delighted to see these new facilities in place in St Patrick's. I have been delighted to work with the school to ensure Government funding was provided for these much needed classrooms. As people in the community know, I am passionate about special needs education and inclusion in education and these new special educational classrooms will be a great addition to our town. The other extra classrooms will also ensure the school can be supported in meeting the needs of its growing school population.
"I really want to congratulate the school principal, Rachel Harper, the staff and Board of Management of the school and all involved in this project. It is an exciting time for St Patrick's as it prepares for the start of the new school year," concluded Minister Harris.
