People convicted of conspiracy to commit murder could face life in prison under a new bill introduced by the Justice Minister.
This charge is brought forward when two or more people plan to commit a murder.
Helen McEntee's targeting this proposal at gangland criminals, who are only jailed for 10 years under current legislation.
The bill also adds three terrorism related offences, including receiving training or travelling for the purposes of terrorism.
