The government's new housing strategy tackles a wide range of issues, according to a planning expert.
Minister Darragh O'Brien will launch the 'Housing For All' plan today, replacing the Rebuilding Ireland programme from 2016.
It's expected to deliver 300,000 homes by 2030, across a mix of social, affordable and private development.
While its reported the new strategy will see local authorities given greater ability to purchase land for social and affordable housing.
