€816,000 was overpaid at tolls across the country in the last two years, according to figures from the Irish Independent.
The M1 is the most lucrative toll bridge, taking in 143 thousand in overpayments in the last two years.
€120,000 was paid across the M7 and M8 tolls in Laois, with the M3 in Meath and the M4 between Kilcock and Kinnegad also recording excesses of over €100,000.
While over €800,000 in over payments were received by the toll companies, they did lose €643,000 in evaded charges.
