Irish Rail is to apply for planning permission this week for a new DART station at Woodbrook, between Shankill and Bray in South Dublin.

Once complete the station will have the capacity to accommodate full size 8-carriage DARTs, with a connecting bridge between platforms with ramps and stairs to cater for passengers with reduced mobility.
Subject to planning permission, and progress with the local housing development, it’s expected construction will begin late next year with the station operational by early 2023.
