Cathaoirleach of Bray Municipal District Sinn Féin Councillor Dermot ‘Daisy’ O’Brien, has announced the establishment of a new committee dedicated to addressing Bray’s growing traffic.
The decision follows extensive lobbying and community engagement, including a deputation by the Alliance of Bray Residents Associations to the Bray MD Council last October.
Councillor O’Brien initiated discussions with Council officials, who responded positively, paving the way for this new initiative.
The committee’s Terms of Reference are being drafted in collaboration with Bray’s eight Councillors.
The Bray Municipal District engineer and district administrator will also be involved in discussions, alongside member of the Active Travel Section, a representative of Wicklow County Council Roads Section, and reps from An Garda Síochána, Iarnród Éireann and Dublin Bus.
