A new local link bus service between Wicklow town and Glendalough is up and running today, which will take in Rathnew, Ashford, Annamoe, Laragh and Glendalough.
The 183 service will depart from the Glendalough visitors centre, Monday to Saturday at quarter past 8 in the morning, and at half past one, half past three and 6.35 in the evening, with a return service leaving Wicklow Jail at 10.35 in the morning and at 2.25 and a 5.45 pm.
Night time services will operate on Friday and Saturday night from Glendalough at 9 and 11pm, with services from Wicklow town running at 7.45, 10 o’clock and a quarter to twelve at night.
On Sunday the service will run at 10.30, a quarter past three and 7 o’clock from Glendalough, and from Wicklow town at 11.25 in the morning, and at 5.45 and 7.50 in the evening.
