Works have been completed on extending walking trails surrounding the Vartry Reservoir.
The 2.5km route starts at the Ford Bridge in Knockraheen and finishes at Drumbawn in Newtownmountkennedy, crossing land owned by Irish Water, Coillte, and a private landowner.
Councillor Shay Cullen expects to see a rise in numbers visiting the area.
