A status yellow rain warning will come in to force for Wicklow and surrounding counties from 9 o’clock tonight and will stay in place until 9 o’clock tomorrow night..
Meanwhile a 26 hour status orange rain warning has been issued for Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford from 7 o’clock tonight, with up to 80 millimetres of rain forecast to fall across the four counties.
At the same time, a wind warning will be in operation for Munster and six other counties including Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford.
