The Government is coming under pressure to reject a Commission of Investigation report into Mother and Baby Homes, after it emerged hundreds of people's testimonies were discounted, as they didn't meet a legal standard for evidence.
Commission member Mary Daly told a seminar in the UK earlier this week that some evidence was not considered when formulating the final report, which has led to campaigners claiming it's an attempt to airbrush history.
Ms Daly had previously refused to appear before an Oireachtas Committee to answer questions about the report
The study published in January found that around 9,000 children had died in 18 institutions between the 1920s and 90s.
