The four main towns in Wicklow may have turned on their festive lights at the weekend, but smaller villages around the county are preparing to kick off the Christmas season this coming weekend.
On Saturday evening Blessington will light up at the square at half past four, while Rathdrum’s lights will be switched on at six o’clock.
On Sunday evening the holiday season gets underway in Laragh with the switching on of the Christmas lights at 6 o’clock.
