Ways at restricting e-cigarette ads are being considered by the Health Minister.
Wicklow TD Simon Harris says he's looking at introducing similar restrictions to the ones on alcohol advertising near schools and playgrounds, that come into effect next month.
The Minister presented his plans to ban the sale of e-cigarettes to under 18s, to Cabinet today.
Under the legislation, cigarette machines will also be outlawed and retailers will face new tobacco licensing rules.
Minister Harris says the tobacco industry is trying to work around the law.
